Winter Olympics-Inspired Cocktails

olympics cocktails

The Olympics are the only time when I will watch sports or express patriotism (both classic American pastimes). This sporting event occurring every two years changes my core personality. Do I want to hear a story about someone defying the odds/overcoming tragedy/etc.? If it’s during the Olympics, you bet I do! Do I need to read every profile written on the U.S. team’s Olympic athletes and maybe stalk their Twitter and Instagram accounts? Um, yeah.

If you’re obsessed with the Olympics like me, you’re going to need something to accompany you as you watch hours and hours of coverage. Why not a nice, strong drink? (Which might help dull the sting of some very upsetting moments).

So, to celebrate the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Anna and I prepared some cocktails for some of the countries competing: Canada vs. Norway and Japan vs. (The Olympic Athletes) from Russia.

Thankfully, there are no losers in cocktail making.
